Four steps, and you can stop after the second.
The diagnosis is free and carries no obligation. If you decide not to go ahead once you have the price, you owe nothing and we will not chase you.
Tell us what is happening
Call us or send a message describing the problem in whatever words make sense to you. You do not need to know the technical term for it.
Free diagnosis
A technician works out what is actually wrong. This costs nothing and carries no obligation. If it turns out to be something you can fix yourself in two minutes, we will tell you how and there will be no charge.
A written quote before any work
You get a fixed price for the specific work, in writing, before anyone touches anything. No hourly meter running, no scope creeping upward mid-job. If you decline, that is the end of it and you owe nothing.
The work, then verification
We carry out the agreed work and confirm with you that the original problem is genuinely resolved before we close the job.
Why the diagnosis is free
Two reasons, and neither of them is generosity. The first is that a meaningful proportion of the machines we look at do not have the problem the caller thinks they have — a “virus” is very often a browser notification setting, and a machine that is “dying” is very often a full disk. Charging a diagnostic fee to deliver that news would make us money and lose us the customer.
The second is that it removes the incentive we would otherwise have to find something wrong. If we were paid to look, we would be rewarded for looking hard. Being paid only for repairs we actually carry out and you actually approve keeps the diagnosis honest.
Why there is no price list
Because it would be misleading. “Virus removal — $99” sounds precise and it is not: the underlying job might be removing three browser extensions, or it might be recovering data from a drive that is failing under the load of a full scan. Publishing the low figure and revising it once we are inside the machine is a well-worn tactic and we would rather not participate in it.
What we commit to instead is that the number we give you after the diagnosis is the number you pay. If the job turns out to be larger than diagnosed, that is our misjudgement to absorb, not a change order to send you.
Remote and on-site
Software faults are usually resolved remotely. You start the session yourself from a link we send, you watch everything that happens on your own screen, and you can end it instantly by closing the window. Nothing is installed that would let us reconnect afterwards.
Hardware faults, network installations, and anything requiring physical access to a machine are handled on site. Remote support is available across the United States during our operating hours; on-site visits cover Palm Beach County and the surrounding South Florida area.
What we will not do
- Sell you antivirus software or any subscription on commission.
- Tell you that you are infected in order to create a job.
- Ask for your banking, email, or account passwords.
- Accept payment by gift card, wire transfer, or cryptocurrency.
- Install remote-access software that persists after the session ends on a consumer machine.
- Charge you for work you did not approve in writing first.
