Terms of service

Last updated 2 August 2026.

Who we are

These terms govern services provided by Fixmypc LLC, trading as FixMyPC, of 10140 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33411, United States.

Independence

FixMyPC is an independent service provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorised by Microsoft, Apple, or any software publisher or hardware manufacturer. All product and company names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe the systems we work on. Nothing on this site should be read as suggesting that we act for, or with the authority of, any manufacturer or publisher.

Diagnosis and quotation

Diagnosis is provided free of charge and creates no obligation on either side. Following diagnosis we will provide a fixed price in writing for the specific work proposed. No work is carried out and no charge arises until you have accepted that quotation. If the work proves larger than diagnosed, the quoted price stands.

No fix, no fee

If we accept a job and are unable to resolve the fault described, no charge is payable for the attempt. This does not extend to faults outside the agreed scope, to hardware or third-party components purchased on your behalf at your request, or to situations where the machine is found to be beyond economic repair after work has been agreed and completed on a separate fault.

Your responsibilities

You confirm that you own the equipment or are authorised to have it serviced. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups; while we take reasonable care, no repair process can guarantee data integrity, and we strongly recommend a backup before any work. Please do not give us passwords — we will not ask for them and we do not want them.

Remote sessions

Remote support requires your explicit consent and is initiated by you. You may terminate a session at any time. We do not install persistent remote-access software on consumer equipment. Business clients may opt in to managed access under a separate written arrangement.

Limitation of liability

Our liability in connection with any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of data, loss of profit, or business interruption. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Payment

Invoices are payable on completion by card, bank transfer to our published business account, or cash. We do not accept payment by gift card, cryptocurrency, or money-transfer service under any circumstances, and any request purporting to come from us that asks for one of those is fraudulent.

Cancellation

You may cancel any agreed work before it begins at no cost. Where work has begun, you are charged only for the portion completed. On-site appointments cancelled with less than two hours' notice may attract a call-out charge, which will have been disclosed in the quotation.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and the state and federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida have exclusive jurisdiction.
